In general, the wound is only taped in hospital as the skin heals quickly. Afterwards the skin and wound, air will do well. If, for example, the drain continues to leak from the wound, you should use a plaster until the leak is over. Make sure you use a clean plaster after bathing.

Pregnancy

A sleeve gastrectomy operation does not prevent you from becoming pregnant. On the contrary, the likelihood of pregnancy increases after a significant weight loss. However,it is not advisable to become pragnant during of weight loss.Pregnancy affects both your desired weight loss and increases the risk of malnutrition. Most pregnant women suffer from  weakness, fatigue and problems eating, and their general condition can be poor. We recommend that women wait at least 9 months after the operation until their weight has stabilized at the new level. As we cannot guarantee that birth control pills will be completely absorbed after the operation,we recommed that you discuss this with your doctor. It is normal for bleeding problems to occur after the operation. It is important to check if you have a nutrient deficiency before you become pregnant. This should be done by your GP,and blood tests should be carried out and followed up during pregnancy.

Change In Training Habits

Changing your training habits is important not only to lose weight, but also to not regain the weight you have lost. Before you undergo surgery, you should investigate the exercise options in your area.Set realistic shortterm goals, such as half an hour a day,and gradually increase this time.Nordic walking, cycling and swimming are good for beginners because they burn fat and train many muscle groups without putting strain on the knee and hip joints. Most importantly, however,do some kind of exercise-if possible with others-that you find enjoyable and enjoy doing. You can also checkif there are ‘’exercises made to order’’ in your area. Try to maintain a good rhythm in your daily life so that you can exercise regularly. As you need to train all muscle groups,it is good to do strenght training afterwards. The advantage of strength training is that it tones you body and at the same time continues the fat burning process after training. In addition to the planned exercise,it is also helpful to increase your physical activity in everyday life. For example,it is in your interest to take short trips by car,on foot or by bicycle. It is also desirable to use the stairs instead of the lift.Even small changes can have big consequences. When you have reached your destination, don’t forget to reward yourself with something other than food,a good book, new clothes, massage etc. can be counted as an example.
