Biography

He was born in Bandırma in 1971. After graduating first in his class from Savaştepe Teacher Training High School in 1988, he began his medical studies at Sivas Cumhuriyet University. During his second year, he transferred to Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, graduating third in his class in 1994. After working as a general practitioner at Ağrı-Diyadin State Hospital for two years, he began his service as a medical lieutenant in the Air Force Command. In 1999, he commenced his residency in plastic surgery at Istanbul GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital. Following his residency, he worked for seven years at the Etimesgut Military Hospital Plastic Surgery Clinic before returning to the hospital where he had trained in 2011 as an assistant professor. He became an associate professor in 2016. He retired from GATA with the rank of Senior Colonel (Medical Corps, Air Force) and the title of Associate Professor. He has participated in numerous domestic and international congresses, delivering oral and poster presentations. He has authored 26 international articles published in prominent journals; these articles have received a total of 213 citations (with an h-index of 8 and an i10-index of 8). In addition to aesthetic surgery, he possesses expertise in hand surgery, maxillofacial surgery, cleft lip and palate repair, burn treatment, breast reconstruction, chronic wound healing, and hair and beard transplantation. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Plastic Surgery and the Turkish Medical Association. He is married and a father of two.
